ABOUT THIS RETREAT

Tending the Flame is a seasonal women's retreat facilitated by Liz Kriz of Holistic Harmony (Carolina Healing Arts LLC dba Holistic Harmony). The retreat takes place at McLawland Farms LLC, a working flower farm located at 8632 Reedy Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215. The experience includes outdoor activities (walking through flower fields, picking flowers), guided meditation, journaling, group sharing, and a sound bath with singing bowls. The retreat is designed as a wellness gathering and does not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. The facilitator is not a licensed therapist or medical provider.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participation in this retreat involves inherent risks. By registering, I acknowledge and voluntarily accept the following risks:

Farm & Outdoor Environment

▸ The retreat takes place on a working flower farm with uneven terrain, natural ground surfaces, and agricultural features that may present tripping or slipping hazards

▸ Insects, including bees, ants, wasps, mosquitoes, ticks, and other stinging or biting insects, may be present in the outdoor environment

▸ Allergens, including pollen, grasses, flowers, and natural plant materials are present throughout the farm

▸ Weather conditions, including heat, humidity, sun exposure, rain, and wind may affect the outdoor portions of the experience

▸ Farm equipment, tools, and structures may be present in or near the event area

▸ Plants and flowers may have thorns, irritants, or cause allergic reactions upon contact

Retreat Activities

▸ Guided meditation and visualization may surface unexpected or intense emotions

▸ Sound healing with singing bowls produces vibrations and sustained tones that may be uncomfortable for individuals with certain sensitivities, hearing conditions, or seizure disorders

▸Activities involve sitting at tables, sitting on the floor, lying down, and walking on natural terrain; participants are responsible for modifying activities to suit their own physical abilities and limitations

▸Closed-toe shoes are required for the flower field walk; participants may change into sandals or comfortable footwear for the seated portion in the pavilion

▸ Light refreshments are provided; participants with food allergies are responsible for managing their own dietary needs

▸ Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat and/or blanket for the sound bath; limited bolsters and blankets are available but not guaranteed for every participant

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By registering for this retreat, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including but not limited to injury from uneven terrain, insect bites or stings, allergic reactions, sun exposure, weather conditions, emotional responses, or any other risk inherent to outdoor activities on a working farm and participation in wellness activities.

I release, waive, and discharge Liz Kriz, Carolina Healing Arts LLC dba Holistic Harmony,., McLawland Farms LLC, and their respective owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from or related to my participation in this retreat, including any injury, illness, loss, or damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I understand that no refunds will be issued for failure to disclose a health condition that affects my ability to participate safely.

HEALTH DISCLOSURE

During the registration process, participants are asked to disclose relevant health information including allergies, mobility limitations, pregnancy, seizure disorders, sound sensitivities, respiratory conditions, and any other conditions the facilitator should be aware of. This information is kept confidential and is used solely to support a safe and comfortable experience.

Participants who carry an EpiPen or other emergency medication are required to bring it with them to the retreat.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to participate. If you are unsure whether this retreat is appropriate for you given a specific health condition, please contact us at hello@theholisticharmony.life before registering.

PHOTO & VIDEO CONSENT

Photos and short videos may be taken during the retreat by the facilitator and/or a professional photographer for use on the Holistic Harmony website, social media, email marketing, and promotional materials. Photography will primarily focus on the arrival, flower picking, and atmospheric details such as flowers, the pavilion, the setting, and the overall environment.

No identifying photography will take place during the meditation, journaling, sharing, or sound bath portions of the retreat. During these portions, the photographer may capture detail shots, wide pavilion views, or non-identifiable images that protect the privacy and sacred nature of the inner work.

Participants who prefer not to appear in photos or videos at any point may opt out during the registration process. The facilitator and photographer will accommodate all opt-out requests.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Full refund for cancellations made 14 or more days before the retreat (on or before May 8, 2026)

  • 50% refund for cancellations made 7–13 days before the retreat (May 9–15, 2026)

  • No refund for cancellations made within 7 days of the retreat (May 16–22, 2026) or for no-shows

  • Tickets are transferable — you may send someone in your place at any time by notifying the facilitator at hello@theholisticharmony.life

Inclement weather: The retreat is held in a covered, open-air pavilion and will proceed as scheduled in the event of light rain. In the event of severe weather (heavy storms, lightning, or unsafe conditions), the facilitator will contact all registered participants in advance to either reschedule the event or offer a full refund.

Your Agreement

By checking the agreement box during online registration and completing your purchase, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understand this entire Participant Agreement, including the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

  • You have accurately disclosed all relevant health information during registration

  • You are at least 18 years of age

  • You voluntarily choose to participate in this retreat

  • You agree to the Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • You understand that checking the agreement box during registration constitutes a legally binding acceptance of these terms
